Stone Parsley (Sison amomum) (24/08/2021) Southbank Equestrian, Henfield (arena bank rear of stable block). We have absolutely masses of it here. No other umbellifer quite like it given its fine and spindly nature (very few flowers to an umbell and they are very tiny indeed).
Stone Parsley (Sison amomum) (24/08/2021) Southbank Equestrian, Henfield (arena bank rear of stable block). The giss of the plant - it's very branchy and straggly (and very low-growing) although some are not as straggly as this.

Stone Parsley (Sison amomum) (14/08/2021) Southbank Equestrian, Henfield (arena bank rear of stable block). Probably the smallest-flowered umbellifer. This is a makro shot on my phone - really hard to get,
Stone Parsley (Sison amomum) (14/08/2021) Southbank Equestrian, Henfield (arena bank rear of stable block). A tangled mass of stems and foliage.
Stone Parsley (Sison amomum) (11/08/2022) Southbank Equestrian, Henfield (arena bank rear of stable block). Basal leaves. You have to dig around to find them in amonst the tangle of stems.
Stone Parsley (Sison amomum) (11/08/2022) Southbank Equestrian, Henfield (arena bank rear of stable block). They have lots of translucent veins. I was quite amazed to find this photo of a back lit lower leaf. In fact you can get some really interesting photos of plants using back lighting - often petals have some veins and translucency too, under back light.
Stone Parsley (Sison amomum) (14/08/2021) Southbank Equestrian, Henfield (arena bank rear of stable block). Leaves further up - quite different from the basal leaves.
Stone Parsley (Sison amomum) (17/07/2022) Woods Mill Nature Reserve, Small Dole, Henfield, W Sussex (just out of wood leading to the footpath into the field at the rear of the reserve). Mid-section leaf.
Stone Parsley (Sison amomum) (14/08/2021) Southbank Equestrian, Henfield (arena bank rear of stable block). These are higher up - they become increasingly finely divided until at the summit they are simply linear.
Stone Parsley (Sison amomum) (17/07/2022) Woods Mill Nature Reserve, Small Dole, Henfield, W Sussex (just out of wood leading to the footpath into the field at the rear of the reserve). Leaves all have a short, mucronate point at the tips, as here on a lower leaf.
Stone Parsley (Sison amomum) (14/08/2021) Southbank Equestrian, Henfield (arena bank rear of stable block). Upper finely divided leaves also have a short but acute mucronate point at the tip.
Stone Parsley (Sison amomum) (17/07/2022) Woods Mill Nature Reserve, Small Dole, Henfield, W Sussex (just out of wood leading to the footpath into the field at the rear of the reserve). The lower leaves have sheaths like this.
Stone Parsley (Sison amomum) (24/08/2021) Southbank Equestrian, Henfield (arena bank rear of stable block). Makro shot there is one flower and the things either side are the developing fruits.
